A screen is one distinct UI frame produced from a brief: a settings page, an onboarding step, a modal. If a single brief produces three distinct frames, that counts as three screens. Re-generating the same brief with tweaks counts as new screens. We display your monthly usage in the dashboard so you never get a surprise.
Yes. Flowstep accepts JSON token files exported from Figma Variables, Tokens Studio, and Style Dictionary. If your plugin exports a standard W3C DTCG token format or a Tokens Studio JSON, we can read it. The import wizard walks you through pointing to the right file and confirming the token hierarchy before generation starts.
Free and Studio plans export to Figma (.fig) and Sketch (.sketch). Studio also supports Tokens Studio JSON export. Team plans add API output for CI pipelines. We do not currently export to Adobe XD or Framer, though both are on the roadmap.
Tokens Studio JSON is one of our primary import formats. We read both the flat and grouped structures, resolve alias chains, and handle multi-theme sets. If your file uses the $type/$value/$extensions format from the W3C draft spec, that also works. Upload your file in the design system setup step and we will show you a preview of resolved tokens before committing.
