Terms of Service

1. Agreement

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of flowstepai.org and the Flowstep AI interface mockup generation service (the "Service") operated by Flowstep OÜ ("the Company," "we," "us," or "our") (Tartu maantee 25, Floor 4, 10151 Tallinn, Estonia). By using the Service you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the Service.

If you are a consumer (a natural person acting outside your trade, business, craft, or profession), nothing in these Terms limits your statutory consumer rights under the law of your country of residence.

2. Use of the Service

Flowstep is a tool for product designers and design system teams. It accepts written design briefs, resolves them against design token files you supply, and generates editable token-aligned interface mockup outputs. When using the Service:

• You must be at least 18 years old or have parental consent.
• You agree not to use the Service for unlawful purposes, to interfere with its operation, or to attempt unauthorised access.
• You may not copy, scrape, or reverse-engineer the Service except as permitted by mandatory law.
• You are responsible for ensuring that any design token files or briefs you submit do not contain confidential third-party information you are not authorised to process through a third-party service.

3. Intellectual Property

The Service, including all underlying software and content, is owned by the Company or its licensors and is protected by EU and international intellectual-property law. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for its intended purpose. The generated interface mockup outputs produced by processing your brief and token files are yours to use; we do not claim ownership over the outputs you generate.

4. User Content

You are responsible for any content you submit, including design briefs and token files. You represent that you have the necessary rights to submit that content. You grant us a limited licence to use, store, and process the content to provide the Service: specifically, to resolve your brief against your design system tokens and produce the requested outputs. We do not use your brief content or token files to train our AI models without your explicit written consent.

5. Right of Withdrawal (Consumer Contracts)

Where you enter into a paid contract with us as a consumer at a distance, you have the right to withdraw within 14 days under the EU Consumer Rights Directive without giving any reason. To exercise the right, contact us at [email protected] with a clear statement of withdrawal. We will refund all payments received within 14 days.

The Service as currently offered through flowstepai.org does not include direct paid digital content; this clause applies only if and when paid services are offered.

6. Disclaimers and Statutory Guarantees

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We are currently in early access and the Service may change, may have gaps in token coverage for certain design system structures, and may require your review before generated outputs are used in production workflows. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for (a) death or personal injury caused by negligence, (b) fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or (c) any other liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory law. Statutory guarantees that apply to consumers under EU law are not affected.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Company's total liability for any claim arising from or related to the Service will not exceed EUR 100, except for liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law (see Section 6).

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for breach of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive (Sections 3, 6, 7, 9, 10).

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Estonia.

The courts of Tallinn, Estonia have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms, subject to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence (Article 17-19, Regulation (EU) No 1215/2012 on jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of judgments in civil and commercial matters). If you are a consumer, you may also bring proceedings before the courts of your country of residence, and we may sue you only in those courts.

The European Commission provides an Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. We do not commit to using ODR but will cooperate where required.

10. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes are posted with a new "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
